PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING
This meeting has been postponed to hold a Planning Commission Study Session first.
The Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed project, listen to public input, and provide comments on the project. This could include requesting changes to the project's design or scale. The Commission may also direct staff to draft resolutions or ask the applicant to make modifications before proceeding further.
NOV 13, 2017
The Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) was released for Public Comment on September 13, 2017. The DEIR document analyzes the Environmental Impacts of the project, including traffic, air pollution, compatibility with the General Plan, and other items.
Dozens of residents and businesses concerned about the extensive negative impacts of the project submitted more than 800 pages of Public Comments to the City. These comments and analysis documented the significant inadequacies and misrepresentations of the DEIR.
2018 (tbd) AIRPORT LAND USE COUNCIL
The Airport Land Use Commission will consider the project in 2018 at a date to be determined. A major pilot group has taken a strong stance against the project due to its unsafe height, high-density massing and location in the center of a key flight path.
2018 (TBD) CITY COUNCIL
If the proposed project is approved by the Planning Commission, its approval may be appealed to the City Council. The City Council will meet to hear Public Comment on the proposed project and consider whether to deny or approve the project.
